Details:
Come and join your fellow Part Time MBA classmates from all three campuses for a fun summer afternoon of whitewater tubing. Drop the topics about classes and upcoming projects, pack your bathing suits, bring your choice of beverages, come to relax and make friends.
Your ticket includes transportation to Harpers Ferry from the DC Metro area, a pizza and coke lunch, a PVC tube, life jacket, and a great time being washed down the Potomac River. Alcohol is not permitted on the river, but you can bring a cooler or rent one to place in another tube. River Riders also has a cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Tentative Itinerary:
08:30 am - Bus leaves from DC Metro area (1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington,
DC 20004) for river riders.
10:00 am - Debriefing and paper work
11:00 am - Flat water tubing
12:30 pm - Pizza and coke lunch (feel free to bring your own picnic basket)
02:00 pm - Whitewater tubing
05:30 pm - Bus leaves from river riders to DC Metro area
Typical Packing List:
- Bathing suit/ nylon shorts/ trunks/ or clothing you are comfortable getting wet in.
- Cap, visor, sun glasses
- Sunscreen
- Towels
- Shoes that will stay on your feet in the river! Think water shoes, old sneakers or sports
sandals with back straps ( flip flops will not stay on your feet in the water; therefore they
are not permitted on the river)
- Clothes to change into after you are done
- Picnic style lunch, snacks, beverage (alchohol) of your choice
- Plastic bags, zip-lock bags, dry bags
- Water proof camera, video recorder
- Business cards
